DANIEL PERRIN

Daniel Perrin was born in Lausanne in 1955.
After meeting Thierry Lang in 1973, he decides on a future in music.
Classical piano studies at the Lausanne Czerny Insitut.
Jazz studies at the Swiss Jazz School of Bern (1977-1981).
Studies of composition with Awer Blue in New York.
Courses in Switzerland with Art Lande.
Teaches the piano, harmonica and bandonion at the EJMA and the Montreux conservatoire from 1983 to 1986, teaches privately until 2003 and then at the EJMA since 2004.
Founding member of Piano Seven in 1986 with Francois Lindemann, Thierry Lang, Alex Theus, Sebastian Santamaria, Julien Galland and Jacques Demierre.
Since 1990, he has taught himself the accordion, clarinet and bandonion.
He is the author of several arrangements for artists such as Yvette Théraulaz, Dominique Scheder, Danièle Fleury, François Silvant, etc.
He has written music for, played and recorded with Thierry Lang, Piano Seven, Batiscaf, Husbands, Diatonikachromatik and the Orchestre Jaune, which he is now conducting.
For the theatre, in addition to a dozen or so theatre scores for the director André Steiger, he works in Vidy (Lausanne), for the “Théâtre de Poche” in Geneva, for “Am Stram Gram”, for “La Comédie de Genève” (Martine Paschoud, Hervé Loichemol, André Steiger), for the “Théatre Musical de Lausanne” (“Perdants magnifiques”), for “La Compagnie de l’Oeillade” (“Tribus Modernes”), for “La Companie Jean Hourdin de Paris”, “La Companie Rossier-Pasquier”, Matthias Zchokke, etc.
As for dance music , he has collaborated with Philippe Saire, “La Companie Vertical Danse de Noemi Lapzeson de Genève”.
Chamber music for the quartet of brass instruments Novus, the Bassissmo trio and for the a piacere trio.
He is Director of the “Orchestre jaune”, which employs 15 musicians.
Film music he has written include (La beauté sur la terre « Antoine Plantevin », Vanna ou la force des anges « Eric Vander Borght », Nosfératu, Les 3 lumières et Visages d’enfants « Music composed and played live in front of the screen, Lausanne, Valais, Vevey, Kiev »).
